Abstract submission and registration are handled through our third-party ticketing platform Evenium (see section 4). Some data is therefore collected directly by that platform.

3. Cookies and tracking

This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies, and does not load Google Analytics, advertising pixels or social-media trackers. Fonts are self-hosted, so no data is sent to Google when you browse the site.

When you open the registration or abstract-submission form, the third-party platform Evenium may set cookies that are necessary for that service to work. If non-essential cookies are used by that platform, a consent mechanism is presented before the widget loads.

4. Recipients and processors

Your data may be shared with the following categories of recipients:

  • The symposium organising and scientific committees (for abstracts and registration).
  • Evenium — registration and abstract-submission platform, acting as a data processor under a data processing agreement (Article 28 GDPR / Evenium Data Processing Addendum).
  • Our website host: IONOS SARL (see Legal Notice).

We never sell your personal data. Data is processed primarily within the European Union. However, Evenium relies on infrastructure and an affiliated company located outside the EU; where personal data is transferred outside the EU, appropriate safeguards (such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses) are applied to ensure an equivalent level of protection.

5. How long we keep your data

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above:

  • Email enquiries: up to 12 months.
  • Abstracts and registration: for the duration of the event, plus the legal and accounting retention periods required by law.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. You may withdraw your consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise these rights, contact contact@sbnwm50.org or the DPO (dpd@cea.fr). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL.

7. Automated decision-making and profiling

This website does not carry out any automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 of the GDPR. Your personal data is not used to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects concerning you on a solely automated basis.

8. Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated. The “last updated” date at the top of the page indicates the latest version.
